Somewhere along the way, photography opened a door I hadn’t expected. Looking through the lens drew me closer to the natural world — first with curiosity, then with complete fascination for exploring the wild and capturing the moments that are easy to miss. Hidden worlds that exist just beyond ordinary sight — the creatures we walk past without registering, the quiet drama unfolding in forests, meadows and on the shoreline.
The more I explored and photographed, the more I began to see: tiny insect ecosystems, the visual complexity of reptiles and amphibians and the fascinating world of fungi. Nature didn’t lead me to photography — photography led me to nature.
That discovery changed the direction of my work, and 15 years ago I decided to specialise fully in nature photography.
My greatest areas of interest are macro photography and natural landscapes. One pulls me into miniature universe that almost feel other-worldly. The other transports me to a time before the modern world and allows me to get lost in wild places.
Photography has become my way of slowing down and truly seeing. With light, composition and colour, I try to reveal not just what nature looks like, but what it feels like — peaceful, wild, fragile, majestic, and endlessly surprising.
Recently, I moved to Holt in North Norfolk to be closer to the landscapes and wildlife that inspire me. Living here allows me to be closer to the nature I love and through photography share the small moments of magic that happen away from the rush of everyday life.
Through sharing and selling my images, I hope to share not just what I’ve seen, but the feeling of being there. If someone chooses to bring my work into their home, my hope is that it gives them a small, daily moment with nature — a reminder of beauty, stillness, and a connection to something much bigger than ourselves.
